Minimally invasive cardiac surgery involves making small incisions in the right side of your chest to reach the heart between the ribs, rather than cutting through the breastbone, as is done in open-heart surgery.
This is new form of surgery, where we do it in Cherney surgery, Cardiac Surgery almost all type of surgeries can be performed. Not all of course around 80% of the operation can be done without doing a conventional surgery that is making a big cut on the chest from here to here. What we do is make 1 or 2 inch small cuts on right or left side of the chest and do the same complex operation which otherwise would be done through a midline enormity. The advantage of this is that patients are discharged much earlier from the hospital, may be in 5-4 days. Then the pain is much less. So, these are various advantages of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
