“I wanted to experience the joy of living and have positive thoughts again” – these were the words that echoed in my mind as I faced the daunting challenge of a myeloproliferative disorder. It all started with increasing abdominal discomfort, early satiety, and a significant weight loss of 10-12 kilograms due to poor appetite. I was overcome with worry about my health and visited numerous hospitals and doctors to evaluate my condition.
After undergoing a series of consultations and receiving medication, my family and I decided to consult with a cancer specialist in China for a second opinion. It was during this time that I came across mozocare and visited Jaypee Hospital in India for further confirmation. Fortunately, the doctors could not find anything alarming, and they advised me to continue taking prescribed medicines as usual.
Through my journey, I have learned that managing my condition isn’t just about taking medications – it’s about living a healthy lifestyle. I’ve found that maintaining a healthy body weight, drinking enough fluids, exercising, managing stress, getting enough sleep, and avoiding tobacco, drugs, and alcohol have all been incredibly helpful in managing my condition.
A healthy diet that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, and healthy oils like olive oil has also been essential to my well-being. Drinking water, tea, and coffee to maintain hydration has been beneficial, and I avoid sugary drinks like soda. Although I don’t drink alcohol anymore, I advise speaking to your doctor about whether it’s safe for you to do so.
Exercise has been an integral part of my healthy lifestyle. Gradually increasing my exercise levels through low-risk activities like short daily walks has improved my mental well-being, heart function, and reduced anxiety and fatigue. While food cannot be used to treat cancer, eating healthy foods and avoiding certain actions can make a difference in your health and how you feel.
I hope that my experience can be helpful to fellow cancer survivors. If you’d like to connect with me for emotional support or information sharing, you can request mozocare to arrange a forum, and I’ll be glad to speak with you.
Thank you, and God Bless!
